In this podcast I’m getting into the Christmas spirit.
No, I’m not going to sing any carols.
It’s about making a list—a Christmas list.
The other day I sat down with my four-year-old daughter and helped her write a letter to Santa.
She’s a great kid and isn’t too concerned with what she gets—she just wants to tear the paper off the boxes.
We sat down with the list and she said she wanted (this is a direct quote) “baseballs, ballerina dresses, pizza, and a fruit hat.”
That got me thinking of my own list and some of the things every speechwriter needs for Christmas.
I mean, what do you get the kind of person who sits in a basement hammering away on their Windows 95 software, drooling into a cup and is released only once per month to roam the streets in search of human companionship?
Well, I came up with five ideas and we discuss them in this podcast.
